About the Project

Redesigning a complex and tedious system

For the Flamel Paid Ads module, we partnered with DivaDance - a multi-location dance studio - to streamline their Meta ad creation process. Our goal was to empower each studio location with localized creative and targeting while maintaining brand consistency across the entire organization.

Problem

Prior to Flamel, DivaDance built and launched social ads as a single, monolithic campaign. This “one-and-done” approach forced the marketing team to manually duplicate and customize ads for each studio, consuming hours of work and increasing the risk of errors in budget allocation, copy, and imagery.

Solution

The design process for this solution in the Flamel app was several months long, and included every step of UX research and design: countless conversations with DivaDance marketing managers and business owners to intimately understand their problems and goals, vast research and mapping of Meta APIs and pathways, iterative and detailed wireframes, and hundreds of high-fidelity and prototyped design frames for pages across ad creation, analytics, home dashboard, budget management, and more.

In conclusion

Leveraging Meta’s parent-child campaign structure and Flamel’s automated child-ad generator, we rolled out a localized-franchise social ads system that automatically spins up individual ad sets and creative variations for each DivaDance location - slashing manual setup time from hours to under ten minutes per campaign, enabling studios to optimize budgets and messaging for their local audiences, and preserving brand consistency network-wide. Building this Paid Ads module reinforced for me the power of scalable automation in multi-location marketing: I deepened my understanding of Meta’s parent-child architecture, honed my ability to translate high-level product strategy into intuitive UX flows, and witnessed firsthand how thoughtful tooling can transform a tedious, error-prone process into a streamlined, reliable experience (see the DivaDance case study here).
